Beth has always been inspired by the world around her when it comes to her art work. Whether it be other artists like Vincent Van Gogh, scenes in nature, or her parents who were both musicians. Beth was very successful when displaying her artwork at the Bellingham Art walk here at MHC. She said people were attracted to the colors she used. Beth uses a lot of color in her artwork to remind people that there is "always sunshine somewhere, and winter is just going to happen". A new art piece that Beth is currently working on is a sketch of downtown Bellingham at night. "Its only a sketch now, I was inspired by all the different lights that I saw. I usually do art during the day but during the winter it gets dark earlier which makes me sad, but I sometimes can still find something beautiful at night or go to eARThbenders". Beth has recently been excited about her mom's friend who is writing a biography about her. "I am very proud she would pick me to write about, and it will be called Uplifted Down Syndrome". When asked what her favorite kind of art is to do, Beth had many hobbies to share. "I do a lot of poetry, I like music, drawing, and coloring in my coloring books. Beth is one of a handful of members who has been coming to Max Higbee Center the longest, and continues to inspire not only her peers but the staff as well.
