Halloween is coming up! We prepared today by doing some healthy Halloween snack making. To start, we made our grocery list, then we walked to the Co-op where we worked together to buy our supplies. We created BOO-nanas, chocolate covered strawberries, orange-o-lanterns, and a healthy pumpkin pie smoothie! We learned a lot and had fun😄

Today the 365 program focused on creating our own game. We all had to contribute an idea, and use only the supplies given to us. There was a parachute, chalk, a box, colorful squares, a ball, cones, bases, and two hula hoops! Everyone worked together as a team to create a game! We ended up naming it: Oops! Tower Chute!
The 365 fitness program warmed up with some yoga. We practiced our sun salutation, and did a variety of poses from superman (or Wonder Woman) to butterfly, downward dog, and, arm stretching! After stretching we worked out our abs! Then we walked to the YMCA to climb on the rock wall.
I tried my best to get up to the top, it was hard. I made three attempts to get to the top, and ended up making it halfway! I was really proud I made it that far.
Bouldering is fun. It's good for my body. I tried on a harness, it wasn't very comfortable. I saw my friends on the rock wall, they climbed !
I practiced my commands:

If Jamie wants to come down off the wall he says:
I did two steps instead of three. I will to be more confident next month when we go. Everyone believes in me that I can do it. When I was waiting for my turn, I hung on to the bouldering rocks and did some hangs. It's fun to hang out!
We started today by doing a yoga warm-up. We spent a lot of time practicing our sun salutation, and we've totally got it down now! Then we walked to the library where Terri helped us pick out a workout video. The workout video was 1 hour long, and it was super fun and funny!

We started out our day with Zen Doodling to calming music in order to get centered. After that we got our mats out to work on yoga. We spent a lot of time working on our sun salutation today! We ended program with some laugh therapy in true Max Higbee Center style😆

Today we all decided that we should take advantage of the October sun and go on a long walk to Boulevard Park! We hear a train, and watched it go by, there was a lot of cars, too bad we forgot to count!

We started our morning with our new yoga warm-up! It was kind of hard, but we know that with practice we'll get really good at it. Our muscle of the month is abs, so we also did some medicine ball workouts after that. It was so fun! Finally we walked over to 20th Century Bowl and got our bowl on!!!

We started off the day right by making some October monthly goals! Then we worked together to create a yoga warm-up to focus on for our muscle of the month... ABDOMINALS! After all that we walked up to the YMCA and did fitness testing with our friend Mary!
