Today for Healthy Lifestyles, we went to the track at Civic Field for the Fit School program! We got a lot of exercise by running and walking! There was a group of people who had been doing Fit School for a while and they were all very nice to us! Our coach's name was Carol and "she taught us stretches," said the Running Jalapeño, who adds "I made a lot of friends!" Tracky says "I was thumbs up," which is an understatement given how fast he was running. "I had fun," added the Running Jalapeño with the last of his strength. We could all use a nap, but we would love to go back! Thanks Carol and Fit School!
Today, we made lunch wraps! We packed them full with tomatoes, onions, lettuce, peppers, turkey, cheese, and avacado!
We learned about avocados! Avocados nickname is alagator pears! We also learned that they have more potassium than bananas. Who knew!

Today, at Healthy Lifestyles, we went to Whatcom Falls to hike! We saw waterfalls, trees, large rocks, and fish!

Today we warmed up our rock climbing muscles with some good ole fashioned exercise on exercise balls. Then we went to the YMCA to kill the rock wall! Everybody tried climbing! After working hard at bouldering. It was hard work, but the exercise felt great, agreed the whole group.

Today we talked about what it means to be reliniant. We all identified our strengths which support us to be strong in the face of adversity.
We started off our day by warming up with a fun and challenging Dancing with the Stars workout video! Then we walked up (in the rain) to 20th Century Bowl where we bowled our hearts out, danced up a storm, and just had a ton of fun!

Today we went to the YMCA for our monthly fitness testing. It was sure fun and we all worked very hard to meet our goals! Nearly all of us went above and beyond our set goals! Go us!
