In honor of Rachel's last day she asked Jordan to help come up with an awesome recipe! We made banana waffles, and berry soup (syrup) with a little honey. It tasted delicious!

For our warm-up we decided to have a good old fashioned exercise ball dance party! We even worked out our arms a little bit with dumbbells. Then we walked to the YMCA and had a good and relaxing yoga class just for us with our new friend Sarah! It made our bodies feel better.

First we did chair stretches to warm-up! It was good to stretch in chairs because it made it easier for everyone to be able to do it. It's fun to do different types of stretches. Then we voted, and decided as a group to go to Cornwall Park and play Frisbee Golf. It was lovely!

We took advantage of the warmer weather today and walked to Elizabeth Park! Before we left for that, we put together a warm-up routine which consistented of Watermelon Tai Chi, jumping jacks, and stretching. It was a great day, and we took lots of wonderful photos! ☺️

We got to do Fitness Testing with Mary today! It had been a while because of all of the snow days we've been having. We sure missed her! We started our testing with some Macerena action for our warm up, then we got right into it!

We started Healthy Lifestyles Program by making posters for our March Target Goals and Bowling Stretches! Then we practiced our bowling stretches in a circle of chairs. The chairs helped make the stretches easier for everyone! Eventually we made our way to 20th Century Bowl, and we had a blast!

Today, the Healthy Lifestyles gang went to the YMCA to participate in the Gentle Yoga Stretch Class. We used chairs to do supported yoga in this class with other community members! Using the chairs made us feel successful in our yoga practice. There were also opportunities to stand up and use the chair for balance. We felt safe, and we'd love to do it again!

Before we left the Max Higbee Center, we made a grocery shopping list of all of the different things we wanted in our stir-fries. We decided on jalapeños, peppers, zucchini, carrots, and onion! We also grabbed some pork and rice. We all prepared the ingredients together and made our own personal stir-fries! YUM!

We started of our day by creating a rock climbing stretch routine. We stretched our hamstrings and quads, arm muscles, and our backs. We even fit in a little watermelon tai chi🍉 After our stretching, we walked up to the YMCA and rock climbed for two hours. WHAT A WORKOUT!
